The 9th Commandment: Thou Shalt Not bear False Witness Against Thy Neighbor......

Against thy neighbor meaning anyone near you, a lie is a lie. Usually one lie leads to another, hurting others, and eventually yourself. When we look up Colossians 3:9-10 we must remember when were saved we have put on a new man. When we look up Leviticus 19:12, it tells us that the Lord is very serious about this.
Those that lie eventually become well known to their so called friends, who really don't trust them anymore and aren't really their friends. Lying can lead to a long line of many years of troubles. Proverbs 25:18 says a man that beareth false witness against his neighbor is a maul, and a sword, and a sharp arrow. Exodus 23:1, thou shalt not rise a false report: put not thine hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness. So when you lie your joining the wicked in unrighteous acts going against the 9th commandment. Proverbs 19:9 says liars will not escape unpunished.
Be who you are as a Christian, people love to hear the truth. Make friends not enemies, feel confident in knowing your honest and have nothing to hide, there's nothing like a good nights sleep. Read Revelation 21:8, and know the seriousness of the 10 commandments. Deuteronomy 19:16-19, says what happens to those who bear false witness (lies). James 3:14 says, but if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. So we see here no matter what, we should tell the truth.

The 8th Commandment: Thou Shalt Not Steal......

In Genesis Adam and Eve were made to leave the garden of Eden and were to till and sow the land to eat, in other words they had to work to supply their needs. To take from others after their hard work many things can happen. People could go hungry, causing hopelessness and anger, and can also bring misfortune to ones life who is taking from others without asking. Somebody somewhere had to work for what you are about to steal, stop and think about that.
Sometimes if you just ask you might be surprised when someone will give you what you asked for and more. Someone somewhere is just waiting for someone to ask them for something, make their day.
In the bible 1 Corinthians 6:9, says a little bit about thieves and how they wont be part of the kingdom of God. On another note, working toward a goal and accomplishing it is a far greater feeling than stealing something you've not worked for. Being able to buy something that you need with money that you worked for is also a good feeling. When you steal you betray, deceive, swindle, bring shame on yourself, and sometimes even lying to cover your tracks. Some even steal out of envy, here's some scripture on it; Deuteronomy 5:21, James 3:16 & 4:5,& Psalm 10:3, Proverbs 13:25, Psalm 34:19.
Some steal out of laziness. 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12, 2nd Thessalonians 3:10-12, Proverbs 20:13 & 13:4. Sometimes ones will steal because of their own poverty. Psalm 72:12-13, Psalm 102:17, Matthew 7:7-8 & 21:22, Isiah 30:19 & John 16:23-24. When you work for what you want, scripture says in 2nd Chronicles 15:7, Proverbs 20:11, Jesus was even rewarded for His work when we read John 17:4-5, Colossians 1:10, Proverbs 14:23, and Ephesians 4:28.

The Seventh Commandment: thou shalt not commit adultery.....

To commit means to give in charge or trust. When you commit to a marriage it's a life time term, "till death do us part". Adultery: voluntary sexual intercourse between people that are already married and committed to someone else. God also said let no man tear asunder what He has put together, thus this man and woman.
When you commit yourself to someone your giving your word by pledging to be worthy of this honor by being pure and devout to one person. Showing respect to the word of God, with truth. When you commit adultery you break some other commandments as well. It's like saying to heck with what Jesus said, therefore your taking His name in vain, meaning His word is worthless. When someone commits adultery their dishonoring their mother and father, giving way to shame. Now when someone commits adultery they probably wont want anyone to know, so guess what, they lie. This would be bearing false witness, by saying things like, oh I don't know what this person is talking about, they didn't see me at some motel! Now this one lie will lead to many, bringing so much sin into their life that the results will be catastrophic.
Adultery can destroy lots of people in that one family. The kids, grandmas & grandpas, en-laws, brothers and sisters, close friends that thought highly of you, co-workers, and even some acquaintances like people you see daily. Sometimes we don't know how many or if anyone looks up to us, but someone somewhere always looks up to you. Are you going to destroy and tear asunder what the Lord God has put together? When you stop and weigh everything out is it really worth it? The immaturity of marriage is not understanding the word commitment, if you don't know it, don't do it, marriage is all about commitment. The vows were spoken with bonding words under God, and rings of bonding and token were exchanged between two people becoming one with each other being witnessed by others. A virtuous woman is worth more than the most precious ruby on earth. A man that keeps the word of God close to his heart and tends to his family is an honorable man. These are the kinds of men and women Jesus wants in His kingdom, honorable and virtuous.

the sixth commandment: thou shalt not kill { murder}

This one is simple for the most part but, some other things come to mind like abortion. There's other ways of dealing with the situation like adoption, or just seeking council & coping with becoming a parent. We are to follow the laws of Caesar { government & state laws} but the bible says first & foremost to follow the laws of God. So yes follow the laws but in this country we can vote out abortion & other murderous acts against mankind. In the life of a christian faith is the foundation of our belief, we should have faith in all matters.
Self defense is something else to consider, I believe if we wait on the Lord with prayer & confidence He will show us a strategical way to confront the situation. There's even been battles won because the victor lead the enemy to their own demise, there was no bloodshed between each other. When we stop & think about it there's always another solution.

A giving heart is a heart of gold......

Thanksgiving is coming up this week, what are we thankful for?
How about electricity, water heaters, indoor plumbing, & warm transportation for most of us here in America. Sometimes we take for granted what we have at our finger tips & we just run with it, sometimes we need to slow down a bit & think of others around us. Thanksgiving is a good time to remember anyone who's not with family & friends or doesn't have somewhere to go, & invite them for dinner with you & yours. We are to be thankful & know the good Lord sees to it that there's always enough for everyone, lift your plate up to Him at prayer & thank Him for an abundance of a wholesome meal. Also we should include all those across seas in our prayers here in this country, because some places on the planet are full of extreme danger with no place to even sit & eat a good meal. Brother's & sister's in Christ are all over the globe, we should pray for those to have good courage & strength to help other's learn about Jesus, the truth & the way. Let us be thankful we have a savior who ask's us to be a light in the world.

My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. 1 John 3:18

Back yard camp fire and picture of our front yard. The winds of October may be a little late but here it is.

- Good Times -
There's a stillness in the air
the horizons mirrored in the snow,
the trees look cold and bare
the evening moon makes everything glow.
The smell of hot chocolate and cookies
from the neighbors humble abode,
In the kitchen to take a lookie
to make some goodies of my own.
Some logs crackle on the fire
champagne bubbles tickle my nose,
won't be long before I tire
settling in to warm my toes.

- Winds Of October -
Drying up out in cold
dying flowers dangling,
from greens to reds to gold
scenery completely changing.
Soon in snow I'll be standing
the wispy winters call,
like helicopters landing
dried up oak seeds fall.
Twisting turning all the way

We here at Godlink are Christians, apostles, healers, prayers, over comers, leaders for and followers of Christ, one family, the Church. As children of God we are to minister whenever and wherever. We are non denominational, we belong to a Church that was created in heaven first, it's a foundation built on a rock, and the rock is the word of God.
As we stay close to the true meaning of these words spoken by the Father, His prophets, His Son Jesus, and through His Holy Spirit, we stay close to Him. As believers in the word we pledge to give to the widows and orphans food and clothes and help with other needs as well, the poor and the blind and those afflicted should have everyone's attention, that claims to be a follower of Jesus Christs teachings, through His gospel.

How could a boy from a carpenters family at the age of 12, question and answer teachers on important doctrine in the temple courts at Jerusalem? Luke 2:41-52 says that Jesus and His family along with a caravan of people from their village of Nazareth went off to celebrate the Passover at Jerusalem. It says here that after about a days journey heading home to Nazareth they noticed Jesus wasn't with them, so they turned and went to go after Him. Now it said a days journey, so if you do the math, one days journey out, one back, & three days looking for Him while at Jerusalem, so that's five days Jesus questioned and answered religious authorities of the highest rank in the city. Jesus fulfilled every prophecy, including His birth, how do you do that! Oh, I forgot for a moment, it's all just coincidence right?
The earth rotates around our sun at the perfect distance, not too hot or too cold, just right, only moving a fraction of an inch toward the sun in it's rotation cycle. Somehow we keep moving around a giant asteroid belt and yet still survive. It almost seems like the earth is special with some sorta protective power or intelligence, but the earth didn't create itself, some of our greatest mathematicians have clearly stated things here are too perfect in harmony working together to have just happened. If the bible could be interpreted however we wanted, then how do you explain the prophecies being fulfilled to the letter? Jesus said, "not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the law until everything is accomplished". Jesus said this in Matthew chapter 5.
No other doctrine can compare to the laws of the land written in the Holy Bible, the truth of God, who can come against our Father Creator and His Son Jesus and say they are liars. No man has ever accomplished what Jesus did and especially by the young age of 34, amazing to say the least. Jesus said to live by the scriptures but in His time there was no bible, in some reference He says the five books of Moses but most the time He just says scriptures. Lets remember many years after Jesus' death and the death of His apostles the bible was put together, and even so, many men of scholar had to die for it during the reformation. During this reformation only certain scripture was allowed to be put into our Holy Bible of today, that was the deal that nobody ever shook hands over. If anything each party met halfway, after we all were taught to go one way, the way Jesus taught, here's where we screwed up. This is where Jerusalem messed up when Jeremiah said take down your idols and honor the Sabbath as scripture says. This is not a joking matter, don't forget about the branch of the olive tree representing the family of God, when the branch is cut off it withers up and dies apart from the tree.

- Colors-
The days are cooler and shorter
that wispy wind is back,
fall is creeping upon us
the wolves are running in a pack.
The hummingbirds are heading south
trees are losing their leaves,
time to put away the shorts
and bring out the long sleeves.
Gray skies are coming to stay
cozy fires at night time burn,
reds yellows blue and gray
watching colors change and turn.

Here are some pictures taken from our yard in Springville, Indiana. The sunflower was voluntary, the moon on the right is the super moon we had this year, the moth had an interesting design on it's back, and the tree frog was friendly enough to let us take his picture.

Jesus said we could be grafted into God's family by believing in the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. Grafted because a covenant had already been established with Abraham and his seed. So in all fairness and for the love of mankind, Jesus said all outsiders are welcome to come to the feasts and eat with us if they believe, and be blessed as well. But to be grafted in there are laws that Gods people follow, so when joining His flock we can be part of the family but we can't make changes or adjustments to suit our ways in other countries or surrounding areas. These feasts of celebration, the ten commandments, the Sabbath, and marriage celebrations were all commanded by God in scripture. Out of all of these commands Jesus said we don't have to participate in the feasts to be saved. But He did not say the same of the ten commandments, the Sabbath day, or marriage. Also God called these the laws of the land, and wherever you go you represent your Father Creator. So if your in Gods family you'll keep His laws close to your heart and in your thoughts, your thoughts are who you are.
Are you grafted into Gods family, do you claim to be a christian or follower of Jesus, the word born in the flesh as the Christ? If you claim any of this then your saying you have been grafted into the family of God, unless you were born a descendant of Abraham's seed. I just wanted to clarify, if we're following Jesus we are, if we're not, then we aren't, right? Scripture makes it very clear, Jesus explains what the prophets were teaching, so what makes us all so wishy washy. To be continued.............

I like to study words by going back to the original meaning of the word. Since I'm inspired to write about salvation I do a lot of studying. This led to the Heavenly Reflections page on our website. There are lots of pictures taken by my lovely wife and website partner. We both love nature and we hope you enjoy the pictures of our Fathers creation. With lots of prayer and faith, and by the Holy Spirit of God together we have overcome many obstacles. We want to share with everyone so that we might be a help in times of trouble. We hope to share with the world the joy that we have found in working for our Father, and the salvation we have because Jesus died for us.
