( Memorial Day is also a day for us to remember our king who died for us as a whole people on this planet.)
I don't like to quote scripture very often, because it's better for you to read it yourself and experience it with God, because it is a living word, it has to be read with the Holy Spirit. If your looking for spiritual enlightenment and truth you should chase after God's own heart reading His book for yourself daily. You should pray before and after reading scripture.
Everybody that has a bible should read it front to back, including the lost scriptures. We should be discussing scriptural messages together instead of talking about the latest fad or soap opera on television. We need to be finding out all we can about God and Jesus, and how this pertains to the times we are living in today. Now that I've said my peace, I would like to give you a scripture to definitely read and think about.
Go to your new testament in your bible, look up Revelation, read all of Chapter 17. Verse 9 & 16-18 of chapter 17 are of great importance. Who do you think reigns over the kings of the earth as of right now? Who's dollar is dependent upon for the buying and selling of the oil in most the whole world? Verse 18 says the city or country that reigns over the kings is the great whore who sells out. What do you think will happen when the american dollar becomes american history....

Very soon the whole system of things as we know it will change, be prepared not scared, because when you are prepared things don't come as such a shock. What if you wake up one morning, say a month form now, and all the money in the world didn't matter anymore? This world is a temporary place. Things aren't what matter; but people, and Love, and being saved, so we can go to heaven when that time comes. Remembering this will help, when everything isn't going the way you expect. We all have natural talents and and we all have a planned purpose in the scheme of things. If you open up to this idea you can be blessed by doing what comes naturally, like using your talent of writing to reach out to others. By finding our true purpose in life we are filled up with joy from the Holy Spirit. If you think this can be found in the world you will be disappointed. True joy comes from God alone.

Prepare your heart for what's to come
the change will be a sudden shock,
things you love gone start feeling numb
the happiness of others you may mock.
Forget about objects nick knacks and trinkets
your feelings now you must change,
Refocus your thoughts on lamp oil and more blankets
because life to all will seem strange.
When evil and chaos take over our world
villains and killers become world leaders,
Love and hope will be cast out and hurled
while the existence of Christianity teeters.
